Feel the luck of the Irish this St. Patrick’s Day with drink specials at bars throughout the city.
The Irish spirit will kick off early on Thursday at Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant. Start the day at 8 a.m. with a pint and free pancakes. The party continues at the 15th and Locust Street location all day and night with live music, festive traditional Irish dancers and pipers.
Celebrate the Mad River’s first ever Patty Palooza on St. Paddy’s Day there will be live music all day and all night with bands, bag pipes and acoustic acts. While jamming out to the live tunes at the 126 Chestnut Street location enjoy some cheap drinks. In honor of the Irish, there will be $3 Guinness drafts, $4 Jameson shots and drinks and $5 Irish car bombs.
If you’re worried that alcohol won’t keep you full all day long, then you might want to check out Tavern 17 at 220 South 17th Street. Tavern 17 with be serving corned beef sandwiches with homemade slaw all day for just $9. And so you don’t slow down your drinking, they'll have $5 Rogue Kells Irish Red drafts.
New Deck Tavern located at 3408 Sansom Street will be celebrating with live music from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with live Irish dancing at 5 p.m.! All day long they will be having traditional Irish food specials including Irish stew.
For all you early birds who are eager to kick of St. Patty’s day as early as possible, Mcfadden's on 3rd Street will be opening their doors at 6 a.m.! There will be live performances with bag pipers and Irish dancers. Drink specials include $3 Coors Light, $4 Jameson and ginger drinks, and $6 car bombs.
