Bryn Mawr Brings on Oscar Bling

Are you a film fanatic that gets turned on by the blinding gold of Oscar?

Then bring it to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute's Oscar Bling Fling, their fifth birthday/Oscar party blowout complete with cocktails, a gourmet buffet dinner, a jewelry sale and raffle, and the simulcast of the Academy Awards on the big screen in HD.

All you need to do is come in "bling" dress or costume and, of course, fork over $45 (BMFI members) or $50 (non-members) at the door. Because, yes, the online tickets are no longer available.

Cocktails and wine will be provided by Bluecoat Gin and Vodka, with birthday cupcakes from Whole Foods. The buffet-style dinner includes crostini duo (aka, rosemary-infused cannellini and marinated artichoke hearts), chicken marsala, slow braised beef, and creamy polenta squares.

Cocktails and the jewelry sale start at 7 p.m., with dinner and red carpet coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m.
