What I like about this look?

This look is the perfect representation of how a gentleman can sport the business-casual look during the blazing hot summer in Philadelphia. In an effort to stay cool, the blazer, shirt and chinos are all cotton, which is lighter and more breathable than traditional suiting fabrics. Taking a tip from our friends across the pond, Alex's loafers are outfitted with tassels, which give this business-casual outfit some formal flare. The small details like the white pin dots on the navy socks, floral printed pocket square and braided belt really makes this look stand-out in the most subtle way. With this being Olympic season, there is no more stylish way to outfit your place of work than with Old Glory hanging on the wall like Alex!

Where could this outfit be worn?

This outfit is perfect for the office during the summer, when the dress code is a little more relaxed. This look will make a smooth transition from the workplace, out to dinner or for drinks with friends. Add a tie to this look and it would work well on a regular day of work during the spring, summer and early fall seasons. This picture was taken during a men's style meet up at Commonwealth Proper in the Rittenhouse area of Philadelphia, showing that this outfit works in many social settings.

Where can you buy this particular look?

Boglioli, Commonwealth Proper, Zara and Uniqlo are all great places to look if you want to find a cotton blazer in a variety of styles and colors. For an eye catching pocket square brands like Armstrong & Wilson, Commonwealth Proper, The Tie Bar and The Knottery will keep your breast pocket looking amazing. A pair of tassel loafers add a refined quality to any outfit. Brands like Loake, Allen Edmonds, Johnston & Murphy and Fin's For Him are the leading brands that carry tassel loafers.

Style Tip?

If a cotton blazer is still too hot for you this summer, opt for the same style in a linen fabric. Also, to keep this look for summer appropriate, switch out the full socks for a pair of no-show loafers socks. Your ankles will love to get some fresh air on these warm days.
