LONDON - JANUARY 04: A man walks to work in freezing conditions on January 4, 2010 in London, England. Much of the UK is in the grip of freezing weather with snow and ice disrupting transport across the country as people return to work after the Christmas break. The MET office confirmed that the Christmas period has been the coldest for 25 years with temperatures as low as -17C being recorded in Scotland. (Photo by Dan Kitwood/Getty Images)

This week's Profile is Lisa Haney of Philadelphia, PA. Philly Fashion guru Catriona Whitehead  tells us why Lisa  is this week's That Girl.

What I like about this look?

Most people tend to go for the solid colored jersey maxi dress. But a gauzy patterned maxi dress can be so much better. This beautiful grey and pink pattern creates more interest. However, whether you go solid and simple maxi or patterned and embellished maxi, proper accessorizing can make or break the ensemble. This young woman has made excellent accessorizing choices. A wonderful blue belt with brown leather detailing and a bronze hook gives a rugged vibe against the soft and whimsical nature of this dress. On her neck she puts a simply gold chain with a large pendant on the end. The necklace fills the barren space on her sternum and helps to pull out the pink undertones in the dress. On her feet she has a nice leather patterned wedge with wonderful deep purple toe nail polish. Her bright poppy-red fingernails and lips counterbalance the generally cloudy hue of this outfit, breathing more life into it. Lastly, she has on some old-school shaped sunglasses, two understated rings, and a blue sack bag to pick up the grey-blue in the dress. The icing on the cake-her confident attitude.

Where could this outfit be worn?

This outfit is good for casual/dressy casual activities: shopping, dining out, house-parties, class, going to the park for a stroll, etc.

Where can you buy this particular look?

A beautiful silky patterned maxi dress can be found at Anthropologie, Free People, Nordstrom, Old Navy, Shopplanetblue.com, and South Moon Under.  A belt similar to this can be found at Anthropologie, Free People, Polyvore.com, ShopStyle.com, and any secondhand clothing store. For a brown leather wedge similar to this one see the Francine Wedge on Jildorshoes.com, the Calvin Klein Brown Phoebe Wedge on designerdiscounted.com, the Lanvin Two-Tone Wedges on designerdiscounted.com, the Chloe Studded Leather Wedge on feetfuss.com, and the Sutro Ferrel Wedge on shoebizfs.com.

    Style tip?

My one recommendation- If you want an even more chic look, go for a cute clutch or small shoulder bag. With this particular dress, I recommend the Edie purse in “flame” from J.Crew or the 1960s Vintage Kimono Red and Blue Flower clutch from Etsy.com.
