That Girl: Katie Becker

This week's That Girl Profile is Katie Becker.

This week's Profile is Katie Becker of Philadelphia. Philly Fashion guru Catriona Whitehead tells us why Katie Becker is this week's That Girl.

What I like about this look.

This look is all the right kinds of feminine. Rather than amplify her gender through sexually suggestive clothing, she has utilized color and specific cuts to express her femininity. The overall combination of soft pinks, tans, whites, and wine reds make me think of a girlโ€™s blushing cheeksโ€”itโ€™s so innocent, easy, and carefree. Her billowy pink button-down drapes over the top portion of her body, while her velvet wine red leggings are skin tight. Her suede wedge booties provide height and sass to this pure image. And her sleek bun, simple beaded necklace, and sudo-intellectual glasses contribute to the overall simplicity and cleanliness of this look. Let me tell you, I will be trying this look with my own wardrobe.

Where could this outfit be worn?

This outfit is appropriate for attending class, hanging with your friends, going to the movies, casual dining, maybe even a house party.

Where can you buy this particular look?

Check out Adriano Goldschmied at Bloomingdales for a velvet tight pant. Also search in American Apparel and Nexttag.com. A loose fitting buttondown blouse is best found at Etsy.com, JCrew (Silk Blythe Blouse), Urban Outfitters, and Zara. Her wedge booties can be found at DSW, JCrew, Nine West, Steve Madden, and any major department store.  Lastly, her striped tank is best found in the late spring/early summer months at Forever 21, H & M, Old Navy, and Shopstyle.com.

 Style tip?

My one styling tip would be to try the same outfit without the socks. This is not to say that it doesnโ€™t work with them; I simply want her to try it so that she can gain a little bit of length back in her leg.
