Tattoo Arts Convention Hits Philly

Go get inked -- you know you want to.

The Tattoo Arts Convention is coming to Philly and it's the perfect opportunity to get that rock and roll, celebrity-inspired tattoo you’ve been dreaming of from some of the best tattoo artists around.

The convention will take place at the Sheraton Hotel on 17th and Race Street and will run all weekend long.

So, if it’s a skull face, a tribal symbol, or a colorful, an enormous butterfly tattoo you want to cover up that arm or leg of yours, book a room now so that all you’ll have to do this weekend is walk in and get inked.

Plus, if you call today and make reservations, mention the tattoo convention and you’ll get a discounted room rate.

The convention kicks off on Friday at 2 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show are $20 per day, $40 for the weekend and free for kiddies under 12.

This event is for folks who really enjoy the art of tattooing. They’ll be plenty of vendors, entertainment, parties and a contest for the best tattoo in the building -- so you might want to come prepared with a design in mind before taking your place in line.

Go ahead. Get creative.

But if turning your body into a work of art isn't really your thing, there's plenty of other stuff going on. You can get a new piercing, check out exciting sideshow performances or learn more about tattooing.
