The Dell Music Center

A summer full of live entertainment in East Fairmount Park.

Of course you've heard of the Wells Fargo Center and the Electric Factory and even The Susquehanna Bank Center, but have you ever been to The Dell Music Center

If not, 'tis the season.

Seriously, summer is the perfect time to head to East Fairmount Park for some awesome entertainment in an outdoor venue -- an open-air amphitheatre to be exact.

The Dell can seat 5,284 plus an additional 600 on the lawn, making it the fourth largest venue in the city. But enough about logistics, let's get to the summer's performances!

Thursday, June 23: The season kicks off with Nancy Wilson and Najee. Wilson's smooth voice has been entertaining audiences since 1962. Tickets range from $25 to $100 (for VIP including a meet and greet with Nancy herself)

Tuesday, June 28: The entertainment continues with the Wawa Welcome America celebration. Learn about music, dance and art starting at 10 a.m. Head back to the Dell later that night for an outdoor screening of "Fame," at 9 p.m. Wanna know the best part? Both events are free!

Saturday, July 2: Praise in the Park is taking over The Dell at 5 p.m. and it's the biggest gospel concert ever at the venue! Tickets start at $25 and run as high as $55. If you don't want to order online, head to The Dell East box office, Yesha Ministries Worship Center on Snyder Ave., Calvary Baptist on Haverford Ave. or Bethany Baptist in Lindenwold, N.J.

Thursday, July 7:
Get out to see Angie Stone and Joe at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $40.

Thursday, July 14
: Check out R&B best-selling artists Stephanie Mills and Keith Washington at 8 p.m.

Tuesday, July 19: Want something for the kiddies? Fun Fest is taking over the ampitheatre.

Thursday, July 21: Maybe you want to forget the kids for a night. Check out the Sounds of Philadelphia. The lineup includes The Delfonics, Jerry Butler, Jean Carne, The Jones Girls, Russell Thompkins and The Stylistics. Tickets for the show aren't on sale yet.

LIke what you've seen so far? There's plenty more where that came from. Check out The Dell's Website for a complete list of performances. You can also check out ticket information or purchase a season pass. That pass will give you access to most concerts!
