See “A Christmas Story” in the Theater

Even though it will be on television for 24 straight hours starting on Christmas Eve, there’s nothing like seeing this classic in the theater.

Get to the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville on Friday, Dec. 19 for a special screening of “A Christmas Story” starring Peter Billingsley, Melinda Dillon and Darren McGavin.

”A Christmas Story,” (in case you live in a box) is the story of Ralphie, a little boy growing up in the 40s, who dreams of getting a Red Rider BB gun for Christmas. Unfortunately, no one – not Santa, not his parents or his teachers – think it’s a good idea.

To find out if Ralphie gets his Christmas wish, you’ll have to make it to the Colonial for a 2 p.m. showtime.

General admission is $8, students and seniors get in for $6 and members of the theater pay only $4.
