Phils Howard Drops P-Word on “Entourage”

Slugger makes cameo in HBO show's season finale

Phillies slugger Ryan Howard made a big splash in a scene of the Entourage season finale.

The Phillies $125 million man made a cameo during Sunday night's episode. Jerry Ferrera’s Turtle character called Howard -- who was sitting poolside -- to ask the slugger to drop some of that $125M on a tequila venture.

Howard wasn’t buying it in the fictional situation. And how he addressed Turtle might have offended a few fans.

“You were the dude that was screaming out calling me a p*ssy,” Howard mused about how Turtle addressed him during last year’s World Series.

Did dropping the P-word offend the average audience member of the testosterone-fueled HBO series? Don’t bet on it. But, it could have raised a few eyebrows of casual observers.

Other athletes like the NBA's Kevin Love and NFL's Drew Brees didn't use any foul speech -- even of the tamer type like Howard did. So it is worth asking why he would say it.

Overall Howard held his own with the Entourage crew. But Big League Stew’s claim that he out-acted the entire cast -- which includes the always-amazing Jeremy Piven -- was probably a stretch.
