7/31: A Sci-Fi Discussion, the Happiest Hours and Wayne With America's Most Wanted

SCI-FI HIGH: Attention all Trekkies, Avery Brooks a.k.a. Captain Sisko of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” will hold a lecture at The Franklin Theater tonight. Samuel Delany, Temple professor and sci-fi writer, will join Brooks, who is also a professor at Rutgers University, to talk about race, science fiction and other wide-reaching themes. Even if you’re not a fan of  "Star Trek," or even science fiction, you do not want to miss this. Tickets are only $5 and the show discussion starts at 7 p.m.

BOOZING AT BROWNIES: Enjoy specials galore when you head to Brownies 23 East. From 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. enjoy 50-cent domestic drafts, $1.50 drinks and $2 twisted teas. WEEZY F. BABY: Rap and  hip-hop god Lil' Wayne will join Young Jeezy and the rest of the “America’s Most Wanted Tour” on stage at the Susquehanna Bank Center at 8 p.m. tonight. Wayne, who is seemingly on every rap song worth hearing today, was nominated for eight Grammy’s for his latest album, "Tha Carter III."
