A New Way to See Your Summer Blockbusters

"Toy Story 3" opens the series

To infinity and beyond! Excited for "Toy Story 3?"

You’ll be able to see it at the Prince Music Theater in Center City when the theater launches its Summer Cinema series.

In an effort to keep the theater self-supporting, the Prince will show movies all summer long, including first-run features, movies with music, independent premieres, documentaries and special film events.

The theater will also mix in some live music performances this summer.

Woody and Buzz are a great way to start the series. "Toy Story 3" opens Friday, June 18. Showtimes are Monday through Friday at 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday times are 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Before this, there wasn’t a theater showing new movies in Center City.

“We’re delighted to…bring first-run feature films to downtown Philadelphia, and to showcase independent premieres that might otherwise not be seen in Philadelphia,” president of the theater Marjorie Samoff said in a press release.

The Prince has a three-year plan to restore the theater to full operations and production.

"Toy Story 3" will show on a full schedule and will be followed by other new movies throughout the summer.
