Piazza Opens a Year-Round Market

Every Saturday and Sunday at the Piazza at Schmidt's

Need somewhere to buy food, clothes and maybe a gift for mom? Philly now offers that, and no, it’s not Walmart.

The Piazza at Schmidt's is holding the grand opening of the Market at the Piazza, sponsored by NBC Philadelphia, this Saturday and Sunday, July 10 and 11.

The market features over 200 vendors selling locally grown and organic food, arts, crafts, clothes, antiques, vintage items and collectibles. The market will continue all year on every Saturday and Sunday.

The huge outdoor shopping extravaganza will be open from noon to 7 p.m. both days.

At the market, you'll find items such as handbags, designer clothes, filtering water bottles, organic skincare products, books and even treats for the dog. But that's not all, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. grab fresh fruits and vegetables, grass-fed beef, artisanal cheeses, raw milk, free-range chicken eggs and more to stock your fridge at the largest outdoor farmer's market.

The Piazza is located at 2nd and Germantown in Northern Liberties. It’s accessible by public transportation and has plenty of free, yup, we said free, parking.

So come out to the market and support local businesses, artists and designers.
