Bridesmaid Ball: The Uglier, The Better

Break out the old bridesmaid dress for a good cause.
If you are always a bridesmaid, never a bride, then you're in luck, you'll have dress options for the Bridesmaids' Ball to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on Saturday night.
And if you are always a best man, never a groom, you've probably acquired a nice collection of penguin suits for the occasion, too.
The ball starts at 9 p.m. in the Grand Hall at the Independence Visitor Center and will feature live music, an open bar and a dessert tasting -- all the best parts of a wedding reception without the nauseatingly happy couple making you jealous.
Raffle prizes include a weekend in N.Y.C. and a party at Lucky Strikes Lanes.
There will also be a contest for the ugliest bridesmaid dress and tackiest tux, so you'll definitely want to have a camera at this party.
Tickets are $75 for the Nov. 14 event and proceeds go toward blood cancer research.
