Show your neighborhood park some love this Saturday along side 2K fellow volunteers as you clean, plant trees, shrubs and celebrate.
“LOVE Your Park” is a new spring greening event put together by PHS, Fairmount Park and the Department of Recreation.
On May 8, 94 sites throughout the city will be a buzz with the sounds of digging, sweeping and fun.
Marconi Plaza in South Philadelphia will serve as the headquarters for the “spring cleaning,” with Mayor Nutter getting his hands dirty and the Mummers for your entertainment.
The festivities begin at 9 a.m.
