Jersey Shore Foods Come to Philly Eatery

If you grew up loving the classic boardwalk cuisine of the Jersey Shore but don’t get to the beach much, a local eatery has got you covered.

At his Philly restaurant, Zahav, chef Michael Solomonov is heading up a Jersey Shore Party on Thursday, July 1 to celebrate these summertime culinary classics.

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July a little early?

The beach-themed bash, which costs $25 per guest, allows you to experience a number of Jersey specialties from various participating chefs.

Specialties include a pantheon of greasy Jersey classics like pizza, fried clams, hamburgers and hot dogs, crab boil, French fries, and, for dessert, ice cream sandwiches and popsicles.

And to really put you in a beachy mood, Zahav even has a band covering Journey songs.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and you need to get tickets in advance.

And don't forget your wallet -- the cash bar will be open for the whole party.
