“It's Always Sunny” in the Jersey Hall of Fame

Danny Devito and Jack Nicholson are among the newest stars selected for induction into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. The honor continues a unique relationship between the two actors that has spanned decades.

Nicholson grew up in Neptune, New Jersey, Devito was born there. DeVito would have his breakout role in the 1975 classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, a film for which Nicholson won his first Academy Award.

Danny would later direct and co-star with Jack in the 1992 biopic Hoffa. And it is rumored that Nicholson, who starred as the "Joker" in the original Batman, convinced DeVito to play the "Penguin" in the sequel Batman Returns.

Danny DeVito currently stars in the Philly-centric It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Along with the two actors, this year’s inductees also include musician Stevie Wonder, author Philip Roth, former President Woodrow Wilson, and astronaut Wally Schirra. Check out the Hall of Fame website to see the full list.

The induction ceremony will take place May 2, 2010.
