Head to Six Flags for Stardom

Here is your chance at "Fame." On August 8th, Six Flags Great Adventure and MGM Studios will host the "Fame" National Talent Search at Six Flags in Jacksonville, N.J.

Come ready with your lyrics memorized, your dance moves perfected or your instrument tuned to compete for the chance of a lifetime.

Six Flags and MGM are teaming up for the release of "Fame," a new version of the original Oscar winning film. And in honor of this event, they are hosting the competition, which is open to singers, dancers, musicians, and other performers looking for their big break.

Six Flags, N.J. will be the fourth stop of "Fame"’s National Talent Search multi-city tour.

"Fame" will be visiting six of the Six Flag parks across the nation taking the best talent from each and bringing them to compete against each other in the finals for the grand prize.

Register at the park on Saturday,August 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Once 400 people have signed up registration will close, regardless of the time.

If you are unable to attend the event or are not one of the first 400 people to register then you can submit your audition tape on MySpace where one online finalist will be selected to compete for the grand prize.

You must be 14-years or older to participate. If you are a one-man band, then you can sign up individually but if you plan on being the next N*SYNC or best dance crew, you can sign up as a group with up to eight people.

Be ready for a grueling day of auditions on August 8. After all, not everything about fame is glamorous.

By the end of Saturday you will either be on your way to super stardom or kicked to the curb.

The top ten performances will compete on Sunday, August 9 in the semi-finals. There, V-Factory featuring "Fame"’s Asher Book, who plays 'Macro,' will perform.

The pressure is on as the top ten perform for a panel of celebrity judges.

As if that is not nerve racking enough, only one finalist will be chosen from the ten to advance to the final competition held at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA in September.

Seven people, one from each of the Six Flags stops and one from the Internet, will compete for the Grand Prize.

The winner will receive $5000 in cash, a five-day/four-night trip to Hollywood, a spread in OK! Magazine, a meeting with a Hollywood talent agent and studio executive and an inclusion of their winning live performance in the "Fame" DVD.

If you think you have what it takes to make it, head to Six Flags on Saturday and rock out.  Who knows you may be seeing your name in lights one day.
