Halloween Gore Down the Shore

Summer's not the only time to hit up the beaches of New Jersey. Now is the perfect time to make the trek down the shore where there’s a ton of autumn activities and Halloween horrors to get you in the mood for a little trick or treat.

Get to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. for Fright Fest when the entire park is transformed into one huge haunted Halloween party.

Every weekend from now until Nov. 2, be prepared to be scared with themed rides like the Hayride to the Unknown, haunted shows and attractions.

Time for a tour of the Red Bank in Monmouth County. Every Friday and Saturday in October the walking lantern tour takes you to The Dublin House, one of the most haunted spots in Red Bank, which is said to be occupied by some pretty scary ghost. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for kids under 10. The ghost tour starts at 8:30 p.m. sharp.

In Beach Haven, take part in a murder mystery dinner show on Friday, Oct. 30. The mystery begins unraveling at 6:30 p.m. at the Engleside Inn and includes a three-course dinner, half-hour reception, prizes, dancing and the LBI Ghost Walking Tour after the show.

Nothing says fall like a full moon campfire. Enjoy a relaxing evening of entertainment at the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. Beginning at 7 p.m., Robin Mooreas will get your skin crawling with some ghostly stories. Don’t forget your blanket and some marshmallows for toasting.
