Go Red for a Good Cause

Annual event benefiting The American Red Cross comes to The Please Touch Museum

The Red Ball, benefiting The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania is taking place Saturday at The Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park.

This year’s event will feature a battle of the restaurants with some of Philly’s best local businesses being represented.

Partygoers will be asked to vote for their favorite restaurant based on taste and presentation. Restaurants like Alfa, Ristorante Panorama, Devon Seafood Grill, Rum Bar and Sang Kee Peking Duck House will be cooking up delights for the occasion.

On top of an awesome venue and a delicious menu, there will be a silent auction with items like an autographed Iverson basketball, an autographed Harry Kalas baseball or even a helicopter tour of the city.

Stars like actress Heather Graham, NFLer Raheem Brock and Northeast High teacher/reality show star Tony Danza will be dropping by to show their support,  according to the Inquirer.

All proceeds from the Red Ball benefit the local chapter of the American Red Cross and their recovery facility in West Philadelphia that provides shelter to families recovering a disaster. If the sight of blood makes you woozy, this is a great opportunity to support The Red Cross without ever seeing a drop.

Tickets are still available for $125 and up and are tax deductible.
