Fundraiser for Firefighter Battling Cancer

West Chester firefighter battles Pancreatic cancer, community raises money for his care

If you traveled through West Chester county this week you can't help but see the outpouring of support for a man named Jimmy Graham.

Street banners, posters and fliers of support for the local firefighter can be found everywhere you turn.

That's because Graham is battling Pancreatic Cancer. His community decided to come together this weekend to help raise money for his extensive care.

Join Jimmy’s family, friends and the West Chester community this Saturday at 6p.m. for the “Beef and Beer Benefit for Jimmy Graham” at the Good Will Fire Company located at 552 E. Union Street. This event kicks off a series of fundraisers to help the father of four raise money for his care. Jim is self-employed, has no health insurance and will not be able to work during his aggressive treatment, according to organizers.

The event features live music, several raffles and a silent auction that includes a Flyers 1974-75 Championship jacket signed by Bob Kelly, Gary Dornhoefer and Bernie Parent and Phillies game tickets.  Tickets are $35 each. For more information click here.
