Get Folk'd Up

Enjoy 40-acres of art, music, food and more

The Philly Folk Festival has been around for 49 years…and for darn good reason, too.

The Fest takes place this weekend and you can camp out and jam out at the Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township (Schwenksville) through Sunday. There's going to be a ton of artists on hand to entertain you like Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, A.A. Bondy, The Sweetback Sisters, The Spinning Leaves and many more.

Think of it like a mini-Woodstock. From traditional to blue grass to contemporary, the Folk Fest has you covered.

At the end of every evening, concertgoers come together in what has been deemed the “40-acre living room,” to participate in a massive campfire sing. You can also eat, do crafts and dance. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the kiddies, there are plenty of activities to keep them occupied.

Adult ticket prices range from $8 to $181 depending on how long you stay and what vehicle you come in. Children under 11 are free and kids 12 to 16 receive half off of a regular priced ticket when accompanied by an adult.

Over 5K people camp out at the fest annually, so you might want to check it out.
