So if you were too busy and missed the Philadelphia Flower Show last month, don't worry because Linvilla Orchards in Media, Pa. is throwing their 5th Annual Plant and Flower Festival this Saturday to satisfy your green thumb.
The festival will focus on the Linvilla's most popular crops and features costumed characters, games, contests and music.
“Organizers are putting together a Hawaiian LuOutDay, where you’re best Hawaiian shirts are a must and a live magic show,” says Linvilla Marketing Manager Wayne Matsinger.
There will also be pony rides, train rides and face painting.
“It’s a day for the family to come out and have a good time. It’s [the festival] a lot of fun for those who wanna meet their garden needs,” said Matsinger.
Leave the pruners, hand tools, and spears at home, this weekend’s all about having fun and smelling the roses --or orchids -- whichever you like.
The Plant and Flower Festival starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m.
