Fishtown ShadFest

Celebrate one of Philly’s oldest neighborhoods with food, music, learning and more.

Did you know that Fishtown is one of the city’s oldest riverfront neighborhoods? Well it is, and to celebrate its history, environmental significance and to raise money, the Friends of Penn Treaty Park came up with ShadFest.

Last year more than 3K people showed and this year, even more are expected.

And with good reason – WXPN will be broadcasting live and there’ll be plenty of bands including Blood Feathers and the Strapping Field Hands and Birdie Busch, The Lara and Joe Show and Buried Beds. Food booths, educational kiosks, tours, a scavenger hunt and local venders and arts and crafts.

The event is taking over Penn Treaty Park on Delaware Ave. Saturday, April 24 starting at 11 a.m.
