Eulogy Belgian Tavern: A Whole Lot of Beer You've Never Heard of

Eulogy has more than 300 different kinds of Belgian and German beers and you’ve probably never heard of 283 of them. Maredsous 10 Triple? Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier? Eggenberg Urbock Dunkel Eisbock? Didn’t think so.

Eulogy is two floors of beer and food in Old City just blocks from Independence Hall, the waterfront and a bunch of nightspots on 2nd Street. In other words, it’s popular so make a reservation if you can. And watch out: A lot of these Belgian ales are 10 or 11 percent alcohol volume (as opposed to regular beer, which is around 4 or 5 percent.) so you get can wasted pretty quickly without realizing it. Before you get wasted, then, if you’re feeling exotic, try the 120 Minute IPA: 20 percent alcohol, very rare, and will numb your face. Cheers.
