    You can still give the gift of green by recycling your Christmas tree.

    Still have your Christmas tree up because you don’t know what to do with it? Drop it off this Saturday, Jan. 9 at various locations around the city.

    For a $5 donation, ditch your dead tree at the Fishtown Rec Center from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association will dispose of your Douglas Fir at Liberty Lands, 900 N. 3rd Street.

    In the South Philly area? Head to Columbus Square Park anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

    And from Jan. 9 through Jan. 16 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., leave your tree -- for free -- at 3033 South 63rd Street, or on the corners of Domino Lane and Umbria Street or State Road and Ashburner Street.

    On Sunday,you can also take it up to the Fairmount neighborhood between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The tree recycling station will be on Brown Street, between 21st and 22nd Streets; they’re requesting a $5 donation for every recycled tree, to cover the costs, uwishunu notes. The event is sponsored by the Fairmount Community Development Corporation.
