The fourth annual Strides for Shelter 5K will be taking place this Saturday, April 28. The event will be held at the Hanover Township Community Center and registrations will begin at 7:30 a.m.
Strides for Shelter is held in memory of Jim Bellizzi who passed away after complications from his second double lung transplant. The events proceeds will be going to the Transplant House at Penn. The house provides affordable housing to families experiencing the transplant process of a loved one.
Participants can walk or run the 5k for $25. Running begins at 9:00 a.m. and walking at 9:05 a.m. For more information visit their website.
