Philly’s no boys allowed rock camp returns this week to teach girls how to jam. Girls Rock Philly is Philadelphia’s first and only rock camp exclusively for girls ages nine to 17 at Girard College (Girard and Corinthian Avenues).
Camp is in session this week preparing the girls for a big showcase they’ll perform for the community on Saturday. If you want to get a glimpse of what these rock girls put together during the week, their final performance will be this Saturday, August 8 at 6 p.m.
The campers had daily workshops where they learned the ropes of what it takes to become a rock star. And jammers will also have an opportunity to shine during their very own recording session in a professional studio.
Admission is only $5 and the money will go towards the camp.
