Campus Philly Presents College Day

Put the books down for a day and soak up the city's freebies.

As if going to school around Philly isn't exciting enough, get ready for College Day.

College students -- on Saturday, Sept. 26, forget your hangover and get out of the dorms. Enjoy discounts at 60 of the best restaurants and stores in Center City, University City, Manayunk and South Street by showing your Campus Philly card.

You can also get free entry into seven of the cities best museums, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Eastern State Penitentiary -- because who doesn't love a little culture on a Saturday afternoon? All you have to do is flash your college ID.

There will be a free shuttle loop to all the museums from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a bus from Love Park to South Street from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to ensure that everyone gets to wherever they want to go.

College Day is the culmination of a month-long campaign by Campus Philly to welcome the more than 300,000 college students to the Philly area and help them get to know all the unique places that the city has to offer.

So this Saturday, if you're in college, you can't complain that you are bored. Head out for a day of art, culture, food and shopping and take advantage of going to school in such an great place. Your parents will be proud.
