Come Find Your Future Picasso

The Independence Visitor Center has a new exhibit opening to the public on Saturday, Feb.6. And it’s not one that travels all over the world leaving a major carbon footprint -- it's homegrown by art students from the area.

“The students were excited by the chance to show their art in such a prominent venue,” said Art Professor Pamela Flynn from Holy Family University.

And with three million visitors last year, it really is a prominent venue.

The students of Holy Family will be the first to display their oil on canvas pieces on the new exhibit displays at the Visitor Center. Exhibits will change every two months featuring other local art students.

A reception will be held on Feb. 5 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. to celebrate the opening.

The Independence Visitor Center is located at 6th and Market Streets.
