Are you feeling a little down? Do you want to be reminded of happy times in your life? Then head to  New York artist Aleksandr Razin's new exhibition, "The Circle," on display in Philly all month long.

"The primary goal of this installation is to create a visual environment that reminds people of a variety of joyful moments they experience in their daily lives," says Razin.

Through a unique style, Razin tries to connect his art to the contemporary world using symbols. In this exhibition, he creates variations on the image of a circle using a mix of painting and sculpture.

His style is both figurative and abstract, as he tries to convey a message of joy, harmony and simplicity through his work.

The exhibit opens Oct. 2 at the Dalet Gallery, 141 North 2nd Street in Old City as part of First Friday -- more than forty galleries will be open in Old City from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. "The Circle" will be on display until Oct. 30. The gallery's regular hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., so be sure to check it out and see if it makes you smile.
