7/7: Pizza, Portraits and Prizes

Sippin’ in the City: Dine at Le Castagne tonight for Center City Sips. The swanky Italian restaurant will serve an array of appetizers and drinks for cheap from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Bring your friends and try their selection of three artisanal cheeses, fried mortadella sticks, Italian potato skins, the chef’s daily selection of pizzas, four cheese truffle fondue and assorted Italian meats. Drink specials include caipirinhas, Arnold Palmers, sangria rossos, Dog House Pinot Grigio, Beringer Pinot Noir, Yuengling and Miller Light. Be sure to stick around for a discounted dinner later. People I Don’t Know: Extended by popular demand, Proximity Gallery welcomes you to JoKa’s People I Don’t Know. The exhibit examines different people in the artists’ life through miniature portraits. JoKa, whose work has been displayed nationally and internationally, taps into the identity of his subjects, leaving viewers questioning whom do we really know.
