PAWS Party: If you’re an animal lover, head over to Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse for a Paws Party tonight. Leave your pooch at home and bring a friend for a $15 two-hour open bar and free buffet in support of Philly Paws, Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. Dance all night and enter to win tons of giveaways and prizes, all in support of the animal-saving foundation. Plus, if you don’t have a pet at home, sign-up to save an animal through the adoption wall. Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse, 1823 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19103, +21, $15, 8 p.m.

Chrisette Michele: You’ve seen her at Philly’s Fourth of July bash, now see Chrisette Michele solo at the House of Blues in A.C. The sultry music superstar burst onto the scene only year ago, but she’s proven to be more than just the average R&B singer. With a Grammy Award, two albums and duets with will.i.am, Wale and Ne-Yo, Michele is sure to bring down the house tonight. House of Blues, 801 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, Nj. 08401, +21, $25, 8 p.m.

Jim Gaffigan: Comedian Jim Gaffigan joins fellow funny guys Leo Allen and Tom Shillue for a hilarious night of comedy at Helium. Each have scored their own Comedy Central specials and have performed in various hotspots through the country. The night will be filled with tons of sarcasm, imitations and observational humor all for $50. Helium Comedy Club, 2031 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19103, +21, $50, 8 p.m.
