11/9: Pianos, Pasta and Pop-Rock

Keyboard Karaoke: Aspiring musicians, brush up on your skills tonight at Jolly’s Dueling Piano Bar. With two skilled pianists at the keys, all you need to do is bring the voice and choose your favorite song. Take advantage of their half-priced cocktails beginning at 5 p.m. because we all know with a little liquor, you'll think you sound like Whitney Houston, good or bad. A weekly karaoke winner will be chosen and may possibly be asked back for the $500 grand prize. Jolly’s Dueling Piano Bar, 2006 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19103, Free, 8 p.m.

Pasta Dinner: You’ve seen Avalon’s Chef John Brandt-Lee on The 10! Show, now tonight enjoy a five-course pasta dinner from his Sous Chef Barry Salop. Just outside the city, Avalon is an Italian BYOB offering everything from escargot, spinach and fettuccine, ricotta gnocchi, oxtail ravioli, chocolate pasta and more.  Bring a date for this special dinner and a night to remember. Avalon Restaurant, 312 South High Street, West Chester, Pa. 19382, $45, 7 p.m.

Mumford and Sons: English folk group Mumford and Sons join Cadillac Sky and King Charles for a sold out performance at the Electric Factory tonight. Make sure you already got your tickets or try to win them at Radio 104.5. Tonight’s show is not-to-be-missed. Electric Factory, 421 North 7th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19123, $22.50, 8 p.m.
