The Coffeehouse Is Alive with The Sound of Music

Capriccio Café and Espresso Bar, is having their first annual holiday open house this Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Capriccio on the Parkway, 16th and the Ben Franklin Parkway. 

The open house will feature a live singing performance by the world famous von Trapp Children. This singing group is made up of the great-grandchildren of Captain and Maria von Trapp from the famous singing family featured in The Sound of Music.  In Philadelphia for a series of holiday concerts with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, the von Trapp Children will be available to sign autographs and CDs following their performance at Capriccio.

The open house adds to an exciting day in Philadelphia, which also includes the holiday village at City Hall, the spectacular Center City District's Avenue of the Arts lighting ceremony at 6:15 p.m. and of course the 7 p.m. full performance of the Holiday Pops with Peter Nero featuring the von Trapp Children at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

The Capriccio event and the Center City District lighting ceremony are free and open to the public. Tickets are available to the Holiday Pops at www.phillypops.com
