A Tippler's Tour with Joe Sixpack

Don Russell has the best job in the world: getting paid to write about beer, which he does under the sort of pseudonym Joe Sixpack. He writes a beer column for the Daily News, a beer blog, books on beer and gets to write off his bar tab as research. Who wouldn't want to hang out with him?

Well, for $75, you can, as part of First Person Arts' Edible World Food Tour. On Saturday, June 13  Russell is hosting a beer-themed tour of Northern Liberties, which includes food and drink pairings. Attendees will get to hear Russell wax poetic on the storied brewing history of North Philly while hitting up some of the best beer bars and sellers in the area. The tour begins at 2 p.m. at the brand spanking new Swift Half pub in the new Piazza at Schmidt's and will hit up old favorites like Ortlieb's Jazz Haus and the Standard Tap.

The Edible World Food Tours sell out quickly and advance ticket purchase is required.
