Join the Geeks Who Give, Philly’s recently founded tech community, at National Mechanics (22 S. 3rd St.) Dec. 9 for a food drive and Tweetup (for those behind the times, a “Tweetup” is when Twitterers meet in person).
For those who don’t know what Twitter is, uh, maybe do your research before attending the Geeks’ event.
Admission requires a minimum of five non-perishable food items, all of which will go to Philabundance. Everyone in attendance gets drinks specials and one raffle ticket. The current list of raffle prizes includes:
-Dinner for two at Fork
-Gift certificate and T-shirt from Tattooed Mom’s
-Treats from open source cupcakes
-$75 gift certificate to the wine school of Philadelphia
-Seat at the table during a City Paper restaurant review with David Snyder
