She's gonna rock this town, rock it inside out.

Been wondering what to do with that old drum set gathering dust in the attic? Because let’s face it, at this late date, that rock star dream is over.

Well, maybe it’s over for you, but there’s still a chance to make it happen for someone else a little younger and a little cooler than you. Pack up that guitar, keyboard or amp and schlep it to the Girls Rock Philly Benefit Show and Instrument Drive at Johnny Brenda’s on Saturday, May 23.

Girls Rock Philly is a non-profit week-long camp where young gals from the greater Philadelphia region get to learn, play and perform in a positive all-female musical environment.

There’s a $10 cover to hear four bands at the Fishtown venue. If you bring an instrument or musical gear to donate, they’ll waive the cover.

Either way, helping out is a pretty rock-n-roll thing to do.
