I scream, you scream, we all scream for an all day ice cream bonanza.
Treat your taste buds to mouthwatering frozen fun. The third-annual Ultimate Philadelphia Ice Cream Festival is coming July 18 to the Reading Terminal Market in celebration of National Ice Cream Month.
The oldest ice cream company in the country, Bassetts Ice Cream is joining forces with WHYY, Miller’s Twist, The Franklin Fountain, Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream, KOV, Gelati Di Capri and Brendenbeck’s Bakery & Ice Cream Parlor for some delicious ice cream festivities.
This isn’t just any old ice-cream social. There are scoops of fun for everyone including demonstrations, games, contests, tasting, music and much more.
If you think juggling with oranges is hard try juggling balls of freezing cold ice cream. The festival will be holding an ice cream juggling contest, as well as an eating contest. This is your one excuse to eat all the ice cream you could ever want.
As if that’s not enough, you get to be an ice cream connoisseur and create your own flavor. Add a dash of this and a dab of that and see if you will be the winner of the 3 p.m. flavor-judging competition.
Celebrate everyone's favorite treat with Bassetts Ice Cream on Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Reading Terminal Market.
