Beer Theft at NBC Philadelphia

Somebody stole my beer.

This is for all of you who work in an office and get those incessant interoffice e-mails that make you want to stick forks in your eyes. Here is one office memo with a worthy subject matter: Beer. Happy Friday.

Dear Fellow NBC Philadelphia Employees,

As alerts for missing tapes, missing earrings, and missing hair appliances in the building are often sent out, I believe that missing beer is just as important, if not more.

Our Golden Local winner for Best Brewery, Victory Brewing, sent two growlers of ice cold delicious beer to me last Friday. Mysteriously, I never received it.

While I do understand that ice cold delicious beer is very tempting on a Friday afternoon, I will be launching a full investigation into this sad, sad incident.

If the recent announcement that bottled water will no longer be delivered to the station made you jump at the chance for any liquid refreshment entering the building, I can understand this. But I, at the very least, want a full report on how delicious my foamy gift was.

If you don't confess, I will find you.

Disappointedly yours NBC 10,

Teresa Rose Masterson

Addendum:

The mystery has been solved. The drinkers of my beer have been located and are absolved of any wrongdoing. I will not reveal who, but I do thank that person for his/her full and speedy report.

Evidently beer brewers do not know that it helps to clearly label for whom the gift is meant. They then like to send follow up e-mails asking how delicious their unlabeled brews were.

I suppose we cannot blame them. They run a brewery. They were probably drunk.

This investigation is closed.
