Tech-Less Teens Get Their 15 Minutes of Fame

The local teens who went tech-less for NBC10 get national exposure on The Today Show.

A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT

Let's face it, when it comes to technology, teenagers are wired!

Everyday they're texting, tweeting, on the BlackBerry, computer, iPod, sometimes all at the same time!

That's why Harry Hairston and the NBC10 Investigators decided to challenge some teens to see if they could go 10 days without their technological toys.

Five brave high school seniors from William Tennent High School took Harry Hairston up on his challenge! Not only did they survive, it was an eye-opening adventure that impacted relationships, school work and more. Harry armed the teens with handheld video cameras to document their cold-turkey experiment. You can watch Harry's story, each student's story and read about how the 10 days sans all things digital, affected their lives.

The experiment caught the attention of The Today Show and the story aired nationally Monday morning. One of the teens whose defining moment was based around how his tech-less behavior changed the family's dinner hour, was invited along with his mom to talk live about their experience:
