In October 2007 Jillian Mele's dream of working in her hometown came true when she joined NBC 10.

The Glenside, Montgomery County native came to NBC from Binghamton, New York where she started as the morning news anchor at WIVT/WBGH-TV, but was quickly promoted to co-anchor the evening news for New York's Southern Tier.  While in Binghamton she had the opportunity to cover the devastating floods of June 2007, which destroyed both homes and lives.  During the horrific storms that went down in history, Mele realized the impact working in news can have on a community when the stations were relied upon to share the homeowners’ most tragic stories.

Before traveling to the snowy hills of upstate New York, she worked as a weekend sports anchor/weekday news reporter in Presque Isle, Maine. A diehard Philly sports fan, Jillian got her start in broadcast television during her internship at Comcast SportsNet here in Philadelphia. Mele is a graduate of LaSalle University where she earned her degree in Communications.

Jillian's motto has always been "when you turn on the TV you invite me into your home." That's why she strives to succeed in giving the best and most accurate information in a way that is passionate and understanding.

If you have any news tips or story ideas feel free to email Jillian at jillian.mele@nbcuni.com.

To invite a member of the NBC 10 News Team to emcee or speak at your event, please email the details to Jo Anne Wilder.
