Updated 6:24 AM EST, Fri, Sep 25, 2009
Jamison Uhler joined the NBC 10 News Team as a general assignment reporter in January 2006. But his days with WCAU started 30 years ago, as a viewer, growing up in Media, Delaware County.
Prior to Jamison coming home to Philadelphia, his television career started as a reporter in Minneapolis. Then, he traded blizzards for tornadoes when his career took him to NBC in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From there, Uhler continued his reporting duties while in Orlando, Florida. His local and national reports covered everything from major hurricanes to the vigil for Terri Schiavo.
Jamison has been widely recognized for his work, earning accolades for excellence in reporting. He has been nominated for three EMMY awards and has won two EMMYs. Twice the Associated Press has also honored Jamison for his Investigative and Feature Reporting.
A native of Media, Pennsylvania, Jamison graduated from Penncrest High School in 1993, where he was the starting quarterback on the varsity football team. Uhler is a graduate of Arizona State University's esteemed Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
When he's not at work, you might catch Jamison on the golf course or at the gym, watching an Eagles game, or trying to imitate something he just saw on the Food Network.
If you don't catch him doing that, you can always find him reporting every morning from 5 - 7am. Have a story idea or want to say hello? Drop Jamison a line at. Jamison.Uhler@nbcuni.com
