Jim's a Type 1 diabetic & has suffered from many health related issues for over 10 years. This includes laser surgery for his eyes, serious infections for foot wounds, kidney transplant & a pancreas transplant. This summer he almost died from a serious tick infection & had quadruple bypass surgery, He's only 48. When Jim gets sick it takes months to recover & has been unable to work since June. He will never get full health back. His family struggles to make mortgage, utilities & medical bill payments. They are a truly deserving family that never accepts handouts or sympathy. They really would really be a wonderful Christmas present for a truly wonderful family!!! ... MORE >

He had a heart attack in July and he pretty much has to have surgery every summer. Thank you for your support and love. • Mar,Alishia,andAlissa Sunday, Nov 30 at 2:24 PM FLAG COMMENT I was prompt to write this letter for my twin 9 year old sister's becuse they so badly want for my mom to have new furniture. We feel as though she should recieve this gift because she is a very excellent person. She is on dialysis and have been for 9 years. She has never let her sickness slow her down. She has been through 4 surgeries this year with the twins and still was able to get up and go to dialysis. Alone herself she has had over several surgeries and still endures more to come. She is a excellent person who puts everyone before herself including family,friends,and even her family at dialysis by cooking meals for them. Our mother deserves this she has not done anything for herself in a long time(I think since the twins has been born). The twins feel that she deserve a new bed because she hasn't had a new bed since she was a child and she tell's them how much her back hurts that's why they so badly want her to have a new bedroom set. One twin prays every night for her a new bed I think that's awsome. She has instilled in us to do what we can for people because she always says you'll never know whos hands you may have to fall into. So by her recieving this this would make her very happy,and even if she doesn't recieve the gift the fact that I have been able to tell you about this excellent women is more than enough. • Tammi Saturday, Nov 29 at 7:30 PM FLAG COMMENT My daughter and I moved about 6 months ago, but still have no living room set or dressers for our bedrooms. When we moved during the springtime, we thought that it would be no problem to purchase these items until the cost of everything went up. We are grateful that we don't have to go without the necessities of life, but would really appreciate a living set. The other two rooms can go to another deserving family. • Daniel Davis Saturday, Nov 29 at 2:30 PM FLAG COMMENT We recently had to move to NJ. We came fom Bristol, PA. NBC10 is our news source. We accepted "new" mattresses from a neighbor. We found out they were infested with bedbugs. We had to throw them away, and are sleeping on "pallets" on the floor. I have been laid off for three months. We woulkd like, only mattresses for our 5 boys and Mom and Dad and a twin for our 19 year old disabled daughter. We do not need or ask for much. Bedding would be nice.
