Phillies MVP Cole Hamels appeared on Ellen to help raise money for families in need this holiday season.

Hollywood, as he is called by his teammates, made a quick guest appearance to help dunk Ellen’s executive producer in the show’s dunk tank.

For every person dunked in the month of November, $10,000 will be donated to an organization who helps put food on the tables of families in need.

Hamels missed the target on his first pitch, but hit the bullseye the second go around.

The show will air Friday on NBC10, but you can watch the segment in the video on the left side of this page.
