Meet Timar

Timar hopes for his forever family

Timar is an inquisitive kid who loves to read.  So much, in fact, the 10-year-old has already read the entire Harry Potter series. Of course that’s easy to do when you can read at an 11th grade level, according his mentor, Dunkin Clark.

“He is very impressive,” Dunkin told Vai. “He is only in the 6th grade but reading at an 11th grade level. He read all the Harry Potter books when he was 7-years-old.”

Clark has been volunteering as a mentor to Timar for the last four months while he awaits his forever family.

“He is a little quiet at first, but once you get to know him his goofy side comes out.”

Timar is also a huge sports fan, according to Clark.

“He knows a whole lot about football. He is really good with the facts and statistics.”

When it comes to his ideal family, Timar dreams of an active family who loves to spend time together. Timar would also love to have siblings.

“The facility where he is at, there are a lot of kids going in and coming out. So he makes a lot of friends but he loses them," Dunkin said. “He really needs that opportunity to bond and have the permanency with his peers and parental figures as well.”

Timar would make a great addition to a loving family.
