Bubbles

 

1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid

 

2 cups of water

 

2 teaspoons of sugar

 

Mix together.

Store in old jelly jar or other fun container.

 

 

 

Playdough

 

4 cups flour

 

1 cup salt

 

4 tbsp oil

 

1 1/2 cup water

 

Food coloring

 

Mix salt and flour in separate bowl.

In a separate bowl, mix oil, water, and food color.

Add liquid mix to flour mix.

Store in plastic bag or cute container.

 

 

 

Slime

 

2 oz white glue (Elmer’s)

 

1 cup warm Water

 

Food coloring

 

1 tbsp Borax (found near laundry detergent in the store)

 

3 tbsp warm Water

 

 

Mix 2 ounces of white glue with 3 tbsp of water and six drops of desired food color.

In a separate bowl, mix 1 tbsp Borax with 1 cup of warm water.

Slowly add 1 tbsp of the Borax mixture to the glue mixture. Watch what happens…. Add another tbsp of the Borax mixture, and stir well. Let it sit for about a minute.

Store in plastic bag or cute container.

 

 

To make the above glow-in-the-dark:

Option 1: Cut a highlighter in half. Pull out the ink. Place in water. Let color ooze out. Add this mixture to the liquid part of the recipe. Make sure to add a little extra dry mixture to compensate for the extra liquid.

Option 2: Add a few drops of non-toxic glow-in-the-dark paint to the liquid mixture.

 The mixture will need to absorb light in order to 'glow,' so sit the mixture under a light.
