Sheena Parveen is a meteorologist for NBC10’s First Alert Weather team. You can watch Sheena’s live forecasts weeknights during the 5pm and 11 p.m. newscasts.
Sheena joined NBC10 in 2012. She is passionate about forecasting and covering severe weather. "People rely on accurate forecasts every single day. I understand my responsibility to them as a meteorologist," said Sheena.
Sheena loves covering Neighborhood Weather for the Greater Philadelphia area. One of her most memorable weather events was covering Superstorm Sandy. Tracking the storm and accurately predicting its path days ahead of time to alert viewers is something she will always remember.
Sheena received a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Florida State University. While attending FSU she was involved in the school’s live weather show, FSU Weather. Sheena is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist having received her CBM seal from the American Meteorological Society.
Prior to joining NBC10’s First Alert Weather team, Sheena worked at WCTV in Tallahassee FL and WTVT FOX 13 in Tampa, FL. During her time in Tampa, Sheena developed a pet adoption segment. Sheena continues to channel her love for pets and finding homes for shelter animals here at NBC10 through Clear the Shelters.
Sheena loves being outdoors, going to the beach, paddle boarding, fishing and golfing.
