Sheena Parveen joined NBC10’s First Alert Weather Team in December of 2011.  Her forecasts can be seen weekdays on NBC10 News at 5, 6 and 11 PM.  In 2013, she was named ‘Best TV Weather Person’ by Main Line Today magazine.

Parveen is a graduate of Florida State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and minored in Mathematics.  She is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, having earned her CBM Seal from the American Meteorological Society in 2011.

Parveen’s broadcasting career began in her home state of Florida at WCTV in Tallahassee, where she was a reporter and meteorologist.  She later joined WTVT, the FOX affiliate in Tampa, where she was the lead forecaster and on-air meteorologist for the Good Day Tampa Bay weekend morning show.  While there she also covered environmental issues and hosted a weekly pet adoption segment in partnership with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. 

In her free time, Parveen enjoys travelling, golfing, and snowboarding.  She also dedicates time to animal rescue efforts, an issue close to her heart.  She resides in the Philadelphia area with her dog.
