Dog Missing After Car Theft: Cops

Elderly woman's car turns up but her dog doesn't, police say

Police say an elderly woman's dog is missing after her car was stolen while she stopped into a Wilmington church.

Wilmington Police say the 77-year-old victim left her keys in the ignition when she went into St. Anthony's Church on DuPont Street Friday evening.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports that the woman's vehicle was found Saturday, but her shih tzu is missing. Police say the dog is partially blind because of cataract issues.
