The driver of an out-of-control narrowly missed "the luckiest man alive" as he slammed into a Delaware County restaurant,.
Upper Darby Police said the driver had just left traffic court Tuesday where he faced a careless driving violation when he crashed along West Chester Pike.
Surveillance video captured a yellow sports car passing a sport utility vehicle in the right lane of West Chester Pike before swerving and slamming El Sazon de Puebla just past Keystone Avenue.
The car just missed a man – referred to by police as the “luckiest man alive” – sitting on a bench in front of the eatery.
Luckily no injuries were reported. The crash did however cause a gas leak that knocked out service in the area of West Chester Pike.
No word yet on if the driver will face any additional charges.
