Steer-Stealing Spree in Northeast Pa.

Someone has gone on a cattle-stealing spree in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Yep, that’s right, cattle.

Police are baffled by the theft of black and red Angus steer from a farm along Church Road in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County.

Four bovines have been lifted from the farm over the past two months. Farm owners noticed the latest steer missing last Wednesday.

Each animal weighs between 600 – 800 pounds, which would make anyone wonder how the thieves could pull off the capers without being spotted.

Word of the thefts came a week after a man tried to steal 91 lobsters from Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City.

So why exactly would someone steal four steer?

If they don’t plan on selling them to a slaughterhouse, the thieves may be just stocking up their freezer for some cheap eats.

Or maybe they wanted them to join the Happy Cows out in California.

Who knows, but it looks like the farm owner needs to “beef” up their security. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
